Engineering: Accelerate your degree
The University of South Australia offers the state’s only accelerated engineering program, allowing students to finish their degree in three years instead of the standard four-year period.
Students who achieve good results in their first year of study can be granted the opportunity to accelerate their learning to enter the workforce sooner.
The first year of study also involves subjects which are common to a number of specialised engineering degrees.
It ensures students can change into a degree which best suits their changing interests or capabilities midway through their study.
The university also allows students to start their study mid-year, enabling those who deferred starting their course until 2012 – but now no longer want to wait – to start in the second semester.
An information session on mid-year entry will be held this Wednesday. All attendees must pre-register.
