Boning Room Foreperson

JBS Australia’s Northern Division operates five strategically-placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales, with access to an extensive network of quality cattle.  Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products.

 
About the Role:

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Boning Room Foreperson at our Riverina plant, based at Yanco in Western New South Wales. The Riverina plant is a 5 day operation which employs approximately 400 people and is a plant that processes approximately 575 head of cattle daily.

This is a full time position with the potential to earn $75,000 - $85,000

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Good communication skills on all levels is essential.
• Demonstrate integrity and professional attitude to work.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to Workplace Health and Safety and Quality Assurance procedures.
• Demonstrated Leadership skills with an ability to create an engaged team
• Supervision of all aspects of production within area of responsibility
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
• Promote a working environment that delivers high productivity and job satisfaction
• Ensuring and supporting positive employee relations
• To adhere to all OH&S requirements of the position
• To actively participate in prevention of Work place injuries

• Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Sound technical knowledge of meat processing facilities
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of quality assurance principles and HACCP
• Sound knowledge and application of workplace health and safety regulations
• Availability to work to operational requirements
