Job description:
You will be responsible for undertaking carpentry/formwork for large scale civil construction projects. Measuring, cutting and shaping wood and similar materials. Constructs and installs structures and fixtures and fits timber parts to form structures and fittings. Creating forms for various structures. Building structures on site using wood or putting together frames that have been made elsewhere. Dismantling casts without damaging them, so that they can be used again.
Essential experience:
- Have a minimum of 3 years carpentry experience or relevant qualifications
- Extensive experience erecting and dismantling formwork
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
- Timber and steel Formwork system experience, concreting, pouring and screeding is advantage
Essential competencies:
- Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction Certificate (White/Blue Card)
- Full knowledge of OH&S standards
